What Is Model United Nations (MUN) Conference ?
Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is a conference format that aims to simulate the procedures of the United Nations. Students participate as "Delegates" to various UN Committees and other bodies of the UN system. Participants research and formulate political positions based on the countries' actual positions. Model United Nations was formed from the Model League of Nations. As of 2012, there were an estimated 400 MUN conferences worldwide.

what happends at a MUN Conference
Model UN helps students to develop public speaking, writing and research skills. In addition, they often provide the first entry point into international affairs and introduce students to the wide range of peace and security, human rights, development and rule of law issues that are on the UN agenda.
At a MUN conference, students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. MUN teaches participants skills like research, public speaking, debating, and writing, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.
